MG Templates is your number one destination for new and different website templates. The templates here are free to download and use. You can use them in commercial websites as well. They are governed by the license. You can delete the site attribution by purchasing an attribution waiver. See the license page for more information about that.

Why MG Templates?

All of my templates are written in HTML5 and CSS3. All of the HTML and CSS files in each theme have passed a validation check. There shouldn't be anything here that won't work in any modern browser, and may even work in some older ones too.

I have tried to make my templates a little different than the ones you find on other sites. For example, have a look at the sidebar on The Butterfly Lady. Or the menu bar on Mount Never Rest. In fact I designed this site myself. This will give you a good idea of the types of templates I create.

Most of my templates have a single HTML file and a single CSS file. I don't include a PSD file because I don't use an image editor except to resize the images. That's right, everything you see here with the exception of the background images and the header images is done with CSS. Even the site titles and tag lines are done with CSS. So there's no need for a fancy image editor. MS Paint can easily resize the header images if you need to.

Your Site In Three Simple Steps

1. Download the template you want. All the templates you see here are free for personal and commercial use. You don't have to worry about finding a great template and then discover it costs $35 to use.

2. Edit the HTML and CSS files in your favorite plain text editor. Obviously you want to replace the text with your own content. But you can change the colors, fonts, font sizes, whatever you want. Feel free to make the template your own, so to speak. The sky's the limit. But see the license page for information about deleting the credits.

3. Upload the files to your server. Use your host's control panel or your favorite FTP program. Then sit back and enjoy your new site, all ready for your visitors.
